#Educate2Gether Initiative

After the great success of the 2020 #strongtogether campaign, the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation South Africa is proud to announce the launch of their theme for 2021 – #educate2gether.

The announcement of this year’s theme aligns perfectly with the Foundation’s ambitious vision for the year ahead, as we have recently appointed a new board of directors and official ambassadors for 2021, namely Terence Parkin and Percy Montgomery. Unlike prior years, #educate2gether will run for the entire year with different initiatives under the same theme.

#educate2gether is more than just a vision; it is an action. And the Foundation’s goal with the new theme is to reach 2 million children by the end of the financial year.

Her Serene Highness, Princess Charlene of Monaco, who is involved with various organisations worldwide and is the co-patron of The Giving Organisation Trust and ambassador of the Federation International Automobile, implemented the “Learn to Swim” and “Water Safety” programmes around the world through her foundation. These programmes are aimed in particular at disadvantaged children who are at risk of drowning due to their environment.

Our Foundation aims to educate the public about the dangers of water and drowning, teaching children preventative measures to decrease water-related mortality, and teaching people how to swim.

The Foundation has such a wonderful line-up of initiatives planned for the year. These include empowering our ambassadors and affiliates to continue making a difference in their communities, creating volunteer programmes to clean the environment around our pools, rivers, and oceans, repairing and revitalising derelict state swimming pools and bringing sponsored swimming lessons to the underprivileged.

Corporates and members of the public can help further the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation South Africa’s vision through their ongoing support. By donating to the Foundation, supporters will be rewarded with recognition and tax benefits.

The first initiative with the Foundation’s long-standing partner, LifeSaving South Africa, will see 400,000 children across 4,300 schools in South Africa getting access to Princess Charlene’s Living Water programme.

Lifesaving South Africa is an internationally renowned lifesaving organisation. The essential service provides excellent standards of leadership and lifeguard training whilst encouraging innovation, development and first-class service delivery.
