#Feed2Gether Initiative

We believe in the power of collaboration and going further when we do things together. Therefore, the Foundation has joined hands with the Louis Oosthuizen Foundation57’s iPapa57 Feeding programme to raise funds to produce specially formulated maize products for children between the ages of 3 and 5.

With the #feed2gether initiative, we aim to benefit more children as well as the community and society at large. Currently, the iPapa57 programme feeds between 460 and 480 children at 18 SmartStart Early Childhood Development (ECD) community centres in the Mossel Bay area. The vision is to expand the feeding programme to the Western, Eastern and Northern Cape regions.

Children need a balanced, healthy diet to support their bodies and brains. Proper nutrition helps them grow, become stronger, learn, remember, and concentrate so that they can perform better in all areas of life. Not one child or adult should go hungry on our watch.  Together, we can and will do something about it!

2.8 million children experience hunger weekly in South Africa.

Art feeds our hearts and souls. And now, thanks to an incredible artwork commissioned by Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco, art will also help feed our hungry children.

The 15-piece artwork is no ordinary artwork. We have sold each piece of art as part of the #OurVisionTogether project and this has enabled us to feed the hungry children of South Africa through our #feed2gether initiative.

Together, we will lift our hungry children and give them a hopeful outlook on life.

The 15 Piece Art Collection

The Foundation believes in the power of collaboration and going further when we do things together.

It’s like the story of the old man watching a little boy on the beach, pausing every so often to pick up a starfish and throw it into the sea.

When asked what he was doing, the young boy replied, “Throwing starfish into the ocean. The tide has washed them up onto the beach, and they can’t return to the sea by themselves. When the sun gets high, they will die unless I throw them back into the water.” The old man replied, “But there must be tens of thousands of starfish on this beach. I’m afraid you won’t really be able to make much of a difference.” The boy bent down, picked up yet another starfish and threw it as far as he could into the ocean. Then he turned, smiled, and said, “It made a difference to that one!

This is why we collaborate with several local NPOs, including Louis Oosthuizen’s Foundation57 because we believe in making a difference to the one – who will eventually become the masses.

If your NPO would like to join us in making a difference, get in touch today.
