The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation South Africa is supported by dedicated volunteers who share a passion for making a positive impact. These volunteers are carefully selected for their commitment and expertise, playing a crucial role in the foundation’s mission to create lasting change in communities. Their dedication and hard work help drive the foundation’s efforts, ensuring that its initiatives make a meaningful difference.

SANELE SHANGE - LIFEGUARD

Sanele Shange is an Ironman Triathlete from Durban. Through his many years of dedication and hard work he  has the unique achievement of being the first black African man to ever stand on an Ironman podium!

He has qualified and raced the World Championships twice, enabled by the generous support of sponsors.

This year, Sanele has also been a beacon of excellence, participating in both the Full Ironman Africa Championships, where he placed 3rd in his age group and 10th overall, earning a qualification for the World Championships in Hawaii.

Sanele also competed in the Durban half Ironman and placed 4th overall and 3rd in his age group, earning him a qualification for the World Championships in New Zealand. His achievements reflect his dedication and commitment to excellence, making him a true inspiration to all.

He promotes the “#Breaking Limits” tagline as he has broken through so many limits placed on him. He aims to break through many more. He wants to inspire everyone who follows his journey, especially his son Enzo. 

KEAGAN KEYSER - LIFEGUARD

Keagan Keyser is a passionate and dedicated volunteer at the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation South Africa. With a strong commitment to the foundation’s mission, Keagan consistently gives his time and energy to teaching the youth how to swim and engaging in various initiatives aimed at improving the lives of children across the region.

Beyond his volunteer work, Keagan is an avid cyclist with 14 years of experience racing BMX. His love for the sport has fueled his dedication to promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles among young people.

Keagan has also been an active participant in key events that further the foundation’s cause. He took part in the 2022 Riviera Water Bike Challenge in Monaco, where he joined a global effort to raise awareness for water safety and drowning prevention. In 2023, Keagan continued his support by participating in the Sun City Water Bike event, showcasing his dedication to the foundation’s goals and his enthusiasm for making a difference.

Keagan’s unwavering commitment to the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation South Africa, combined with his passion for cycling, highlights his desire to give back to the community and inspire the next generation through education, sport, and water safety initiatives.

JESSE BREYTENBACH - MUSICIAN

Jesse Breytenbach Cantrel is not only a key member of the Cantrel Collective, a unique music project led by Neil Breytenbach, but also a dedicated volunteer for the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation South Africa (PCMFSA). His commitment to volunteering and working with the foundation highlights his passion for making a positive impact in his community. Jesse is deeply involved in the foundation’s initiatives, which focus on water safety, drowning prevention, and various other community-driven programs. Alongside his musical endeavors, Jesse’s dedication to service embodies the spirit of giving back, aligning perfectly with the mission of the foundation.

Originally conceived as a creative outlet for Neil Breytenbach, a multi-talented songwriter, keyboardist, and producer from Durban, South Africa, the Cantrel Collective evolved into a commercial endeavor. The group merges alternative hip-hop, rock, and pop influences, drawing inspiration from iconic bands like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Crosses, Fort Minor, Muse, Rage Against The Machine, The Beastie Boys, and Twenty One Pilots, while maintaining a distinct, original sound.

In 2023, Jesse participated in the prestigious Sun City Waterbike Challenge, an exciting event that served as a fundraiser for the PCMFSA. His involvement in the challenge further emphasizes his dedication to supporting the foundation’s mission and initiatives, which align with his personal values of service and community engagement.
